About the Role The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role focuses on leveraging advanced virtualization technologies and cloud platforms to support mission‑critical applications and services. The engineer will ensure continuous integration and continuous testing pipelines are robust, efficient, and aligned with organizational security requirements. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to optimize cloud deployments and troubleshoot complex system issues is essential. Ultimately, the position aims to enhance operational efficiency, security posture, and system reliability through innovative cloud engineering practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
Experience working in VMware virtualized environments.
Proficiency with Cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure).
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous integration and continuous testing methodologies.
12 years of experience.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a professional, scientific, or technical services environment.
Familiarity with advanced cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
Experience automating infrastructure.
Strong scripting skills such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) or security (e.g., CISSP).
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure.
Maintain and port virtualized environments to cloud infrastructure.
Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous testing pipelines to streamline software delivery.
Ensure compliance with security protocols.
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance scalability and reliability.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain operational consistency.
Skills The required skills such as VMware virtualization and Cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure) are utilized daily to build and maintain resilient cloud infrastructures that meet stringent security and performance standards. Kubernetes expertise enables the engineer to orchestrate containerized applications efficiently, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling. Continuous integration and continuous testing skills are critical for automating software delivery pipelines, reducing errors, and accelerating release cycles. Skills like scripting and automation further enhance the ability to streamline operations and implement infrastructure as code, contributing to overall system agility and reliability.
