Job Description CMTA is seeking an Electrical Engineer with at least one year of consulting engineering experience and a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering. In this role, you will work with a team of engineers and consultants to design electrical aspects of energy‑efficient buildings and complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy systems, fire alarm system, low‑voltage systems, and coordination with IT, safety, security, and access control.

Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors; communicate verbally and in writing.

Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to assigned tasks.

Collaborate with other engineers to meet project deadlines.

Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals.

Research and analyze design requirements, codes, and other data for feasibility, cost, and maintenance.

Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) for conformance with contract documents.

Desired Experience

1+ years of MEP design experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

FE registration preferred, with potential for PE registration.

Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.

Desired Skills

Electrical Engineering Infrastructure Design.

Construction Administration and Submittals.

Power Distribution and Lighting Systems.

AutoCAD & Revit.
