Position Overview: We are looking for quality applicants to fill an in-house detailing position. Individuals that are able to produce shop drawings for a wide variety of project types. Candidates must be driven and able to deliver accurate drawing deliverables. The applicant should have a tactful ability to source the required information to produce shop drawings as necessary for each project. Candidates must facilitate a culture of optimism and enthusiasm. We strive to provide employees with personal satisfaction, and a sense of accomplishment. Similarly, our goal is to add these types of employees to our team. This is not a remote position. Job Summary
Read and interpret design drawings and specifications, from which you will generate shop drawings for approval and fabrication. Collaborate with the detailing and Modeling team to meet tight deadlines for drawing deliverables. Send RFIs (request for information) for lacking or required information. Familiarity with .NC1 and .dxf file output for automated beamline and plasma table machinery. Review and check drawings and submittals for accuracy and completeness. Skills and Qualities Needed
Familiarity with blueprint reading and ability to interpret design specifications. Use of Tekla structures and/or AutoCAD steel detailing software. Knowledge of Bluebeam studios software. Ability to show up for work on time, and work 40 hours a week. Organized and committed to producing high-quality and accurate work. Be highly motivated, a problem solver, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks. Be responsible to produce efficient work with little or no supervision. Need to be highly organized with strong work ethic, have a positive attitude, and a willingness and desire to be a team player. Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
