LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client's organization in the Elgin, IL area.

This role is the critical link translating design specifications into efficient, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing processes for cutting‑edge display products. You’ll support the production floor, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless communication between Engineering, Quality, and Production teams. If you’re a proactive problem‑solver passionate about process excellence in electronics manufacturing, this is your chance to make a direct impact on product yield and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the production floor, liaising with operators, technicians, and supervisors.

Translate new product designs and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into actionable manufacturing plans.

Provide hands‑on technical support to resolve assembly, test, and process issues.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production defects and manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process.

Develop and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions for product assemblies.

Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes.

Collaborate with the Quality team to establish inspection points and implement CAPA.

Audit manufacturing processes and equipment for compliance and validation.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of experience in a technical manufacturing role, preferably in electronics assembly, display technology (LCD, OLED, TFT), or PCBA.

Experience as a cross‑functional liaison between engineering, quality, and production.

Strong foundation in electronics theory, process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), and quality systems (ISO 9001).

Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
