Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous, mechanically minded individual to fabricate and repair complex composite and metal bonded assemblies. The candidate will work with advanced materials and tight tolerances, ensuring precise alignment and quality in every component.

Responsibilities

Use engineering and tool design drawings, specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions to fabricate and repair composite and metal bonded assemblies.

Plan fabrication of assignments by studying information and tools.

Prepare materials, molds, patterns, adhesives, and other supplies for molding and bonding processes.

Create and use templates to cut materials to desired shapes.

Lay‑out resin‑impregnated sheets against molds, fitting and smoothing laminates to eliminate wrinkles and air pockets.

Work laminate layers to achieve smoothness, removing voids, delamination, crazing, blistering, and wrinkles.

Locate and align parts with precision, meeting close tolerances required by specifications.

Determine fit, clearance, and conformity to contour by comparing assemblies with drawings and sketches.

Fabricate initial bonded assemblies, verify tools and component parts, and ensure usability and practicability.

Plan sequence of operations for assembling subsequent units.

Remove parts post‑cure from molds and tools, and clean molds and tools as part of teardown.

Repair damaged composite and metal bonded assemblies, using uncured or prefabricated repair details as needed.

Grind, shave, countersink, and insert as specified in MPP’s.

Adhere to company safety procedures and regulations.

Operate cranes, fork trucks, pallet jacks, lift tables, and other equipment; work at heights, around cured graphite, and with lasers, hand and power tools.

Engage in Collaborative Work Group to meet business goals.

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age.

High school diploma or GED.

Broad shop trade knowledge of bonding procedures.

Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings and specifications.

Proficient in shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments.

Compensation Salary: $20.00 per hour. Hourly roles include healthcare benefits, 401(k), overtime, and shift differential pay.
