ABOUT THE ROLE As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in expanding Virtual Guardian’s presence across the mid-enterprise market. You’ll identify opportunities, develop tailored security solutions, and collaborate with internal cybersecurity experts to help clients reduce risk and achieve resilience.

You’ll build

trusted, long-term relationships

with your clients by deeply understanding their IT and business environment, identifying gaps or inefficiencies in their cybersecurity posture, and recommending solutions that align with their strategic goals. Acting as a true partner, you’ll help clients

maximize the value of their cybersecurity investments

while positioning Virtual Guardian as their preferred advisor.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, consultative salesperson who understands how to translate complex technology into clear business value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

Report directly to the Regional Sales Director to support Virtual Guardian’s business growth initiatives.

Drive new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and scheduled sales meetings with potential clients.

Within the first 30 days, become deeply familiar with Virtual Guardian’s service portfolio, cybersecurity framework, and client engagement process.

Build trust with clients by developing a deep understanding of their IT infrastructure, risk tolerance, and business priorities.

Identify cybersecurity gaps, propose tailored solutions, and align recommendations with each client’s strategic roadmap.

Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and service delivery teams to design, present, and deliver comprehensive security solutions.

Within 60 days, build and maintain a qualified pipeline through consistent outreach and discovery with mid-enterprise prospects.

By the 90-day mark, close at least 1–2 new accounts and establish 3–5 strong referral or partner relationships.

Manage and expand existing client relationships to identify upsell opportunities, renewals, and expanded service adoption.

Work closely with reseller channels, VAR partners, and vendor alliances to enhance deal flow and joint go-to-market initiatives.

Serve as a

trusted cybersecurity advisor , helping clients optimize and maximize their investments across Virtual Guardian’s solutions.

Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales targets while maintaining accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED To be successful in this position, you must be a

driven, strategic, and consultative salesperson

who combines technical curiosity with relationship excellence. You’re not just selling solutions—you’re helping organizations protect what matters most.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in IT or cybersecurity solutions.

Proven record of quota achievement and success in both hunting and account management.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Experience working with reseller channels, VAR partners, and vendor alliance programs.

Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a team-based environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
