At Backpack Healthcare, we're reimagining mental health care for children, teens, and young adults. As a clinician‑led, minority‑owned company, our mission is simple: when clinicians thrive, kids thrive.
Position Summary Clinical Supervisors ensure high‑quality care delivery, provider development, and compliance while driving organizational growth and transformation. They are mentors, leaders, and accountability partners for the clinicians they oversee.
Essential Job Functions Supervision & Provider Development
Provide weekly individual and group supervision in accordance with residency/licensure requirements.

Ensure safety protocols and mandated reporting are consistently followed.
Partner with QA/Compliance to resolve deficiencies and close gaps.
Metrics & Performance Ownership
Monitor dashboards: caseload assignment and completion, show/no‑show rates, documentation timeliness, clinical outcomes.
Intervene early when trends signal risk (e.g., documentation lag, client attrition).
Ensure supervisees meet or exceed performance standards.
Operational Alignment & Scaling
Ensure supervisees’ contracted hours match open availability.
Support scheduling alignment to reduce client wait times.
Collaborate with Care Coordination for smooth client transitions.
Participate in scaling and clinical transformation initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as the escalation point for clinical concerns.
Model trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practice.
Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Residency Program Leadership, and Care Coordination.
Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and calibration of resident cohorts.
Performance Management
Ensure clinicians are held accountable to performance expectations while receiving the coaching and support needed to succeed.
Set clear expectations: communicate organizational and role‑specific performance standards.
Use real‑time dashboards to track supervisee performance.
Provide targeted feedback, skills training, and corrective guidance where gaps exist.
Progressive Accountability
Verbal coaching and clarification of expectations.
Written improvement plans if issues persist.
Collaboration with HR/Clinical Operations for formal performance actions if necessary.
Recognition & growth: acknowledge achievements, highlight progress toward licensure, promote supervisees who consistently meet expectations.

Supervision compliance: 100% of supervisees receive required supervision.
Documentation quality: all records audited and corrected within 72 hours.
Residency progress: residents progressing toward milestones/licensure.
