Job Description

Client is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Military Aircraft Group at the East Aurora, NY site.

As an HRBP, you will collaborate closely with another site HRBP and the manufacturing operations leadership team to align HR initiatives with business objectives across a diverse workforce of 1,000+ employees.

The East Aurora site encompasses complex functions including machining operations, assembly & test, supply chain, engineering, quality, EHS, and facilities.

Responsibilities

Partner with site leadership to determine appropriate levels of staffing, and related costs to enable the achievement of financial objectives.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition COE and site leadership team effectively recruit and onboard talent with the required skills and implement effective knowledge transfer steps to meet current and future business needs.

Own and proactively manage people metrics to support business objectives and effective decision making.

Develop strong relationships with the site senior leadership team and provide effective, value-added support to the team that is focused on enabling business performance.

Understand the strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution and ongoing development and delivery of that strategy.

Partner with site leadership to effectively communicate business objectives and results through a variety of channels including daily standup meetings, town halls, workshops, emails, newsletters etc.

Develop, own, and implement HR strategy (in alignment with HR Centers of Excellence) that drives employee engagement and supports the delivery of business objectives.

Support talent review to identify and assess organizational strength (critical positions, skills, career paths).

Provide leadership and expertise in organizational development, organizational design and change management.

Continuously review the organization effectiveness and identify/implement changes needed to ensure the organization is set up to succeed.

Continually challenge the status quo and introduce new processes/practices or amend current ways of working to meet site/division financial and business objectives.

Own and lead critical talent management tasks such as the talent identification process (talent matrix / talent profile), performance management process and succession planning process.

Requirements

5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with experience in an HRBP role supporting a senior leadership team.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interact and collaborate with employees at all levels with tact and diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications

HR experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

Expertise in organizational design, talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, employee development, employee relations, legal/compliance.

Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

Proven ability to understand complex organizational issues in a matrix environment.

Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Experience with HR systems (HR Information Systems and Applicant Tracking systems).

Experience coaching and influencing Senior Management regarding business and people related decisions.
