Job Description
We’re seeking a seasoned Software Development Lead with 8+ years of experience in full‑stack development using Java, .NET, Angular, React, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience across the full SDLC, cloud technologies (AWS preferred), and a deep understanding of modern architecture patterns including microservices, RESTful APIs, and automation tools. The role requires leading Agile teams and building scalable, distributed applications.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of software designers and developers to deliver high‑quality software within budget and on schedule.
Direct and coordinate business planning, proposals, projects, and overall support for the Insurance Programs and Analytic Services team.
Build strong partnerships with internal teams locally and across the enterprise.
Develop and implement long‑term strategic direction including software architecture and alignment with company performance objectives.
Participate in the full software development life cycle, delivering robust, high‑performance applications and services in accordance with standards, guidelines, and policies.
Provide work breakdowns, estimates, and timely status updates for projects and individual responsibilities.
Maintain and support developed or enhanced systems.
Apply knowledge of distributed service‑oriented architecture and RESTful styles.
Use object‑oriented and functional programming paradigms.
Design UI/UX processes and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Ember, etc.).
Lead agile architecture and development practices.
Integrate analytics into solutions to deliver information to users through diverse interfaces.
Deploy systems in elastic and cloud environments.
Ensure performance and robustness of systems.
Complete all responsibilities as outlined on the annual performance plan and special projects.
Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be competent in ASP.NET, MVC, Angular, and SQL Server.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience designing, developing, coding, and testing business/commercial applications using Java, C#, MVC, Angular.js, React.js, and related technologies.
Experience with AWS or other cloud services.
Proven work with Scrum teams and best practices.
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo).
Strong background in client/server and web‑based application development.
Experience building distributed applications with WCF, SOA, Web Services, REST, microservices, micro‑frontend, GraphQL.
Knowledge of Agile methodology (SAFE, Scrum).
Strong OOAD and OOP skills.
Hands‑on experience in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Knowledge of TDD, unit testing (JUnit, NUnit) and use cases.
Full lifecycle experience coordinating project meetings, scheduling, and deployment.
