Duties Area of focus: inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications, contract administration, daily progress reporting, quantity tracking, resolving construction problems and challenges, and other oversight responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is required.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Site Manager.
Effective written and oral communication; team player.
Eight (8) years of civil, highway, or relevant engineering experience, including three years in field supervision and at least four years in field inspection.
Current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer’s License or CCM Certification plus a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field.
Certifications such as NACE Coatings Inspection, ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor, NETTCP Asphalt, Soils and Concrete, AWS/CWI are a plus.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for driving duties; OSHA 10 certification required.
Daily on‑site presence; occasional evening or weekend work during critical phases.
Background checks required. Pre‑employment (post‑offer) screening.
