Now offering a $1,500 sign‑on bonus for Medical Assistant & Medical Office Specialist new hires! Effective through the end of the year. Applicable only for MA & MOS positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices.
Responsibilities
Front and back office duties including patient registration, check‑in/out, appointment scheduling, copay/balance collection, triage, and running patients during clinic hours.
Insurance verification and prior authorizations for medical procedures, imaging, and prescriptions.
Assisting medical professionals in an office setting while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient records.
Collaborating effectively with medical staff and team members to ensure smooth patient flow.
Maintaining exam room readiness by stocking, cleaning, and ensuring supplies are available.
Collecting and documenting patient history and contributing to direct patient care.
Following written and oral instructions and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Work Experience: Minimum one year in a medical office setting; preferred experience as a Medical Office Specialist or similar role in orthopedics.
Preferred: Medical Assistant Certification.
Proficiency in EPIC and Microsoft Office systems.
Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, empathetic demeanor toward patients.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
