Job Details We are hiring a Project Manager / Estimator to support structural concrete projects in the DC–Baltimore area. This hybrid role combines hands‑on project management with detailed estimating and project setup responsibilities. You will prepare accurate estimates and proposals, set up projects (contracts, cost codes, budgets, preliminary schedules), and then help lead execution, coordinating with project leads, operations, subcontractors, and vendors to keep scope, schedule, cost, and quality aligned. The role includes tracking daily job costs, administering change orders, maintaining project documentation (MPOs, POs, submittals), and delivering thorough project closeouts. Strong organization, concrete self‑perform experience, and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed, accurate estimates and customer proposals for structural concrete work

Identify and quantify all concrete scope items and collaborate on overall project strategy

Perform project setup contract review, cost codes, preliminary budget and schedule

Organize and maintain logs for MPOs, POs, submittals, and other project documentation

Compile daily job cost reports and track quantities to ensure alignment with budgets

Create and process change orders with clear documentation of customer expectations

Coordinate with Project Lead and operational teams to develop and execute the project plan

Communicate project information, solutions, and opportunities to stakeholders

Execute detailed project closeout and handover documentation

Qualifications

5+ years’ combined experience in project management and estimating for large-scale self-perform general contractors or concrete contractors

Direct self‑perform concrete experience required; experience with commercial/industrial concrete projects preferred

Experience on projects $1M+ with knowledge of construction principles and practices

Proven ability to perform takeoffs, prepare bids, and generate proposals accurately

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with estimating and project management software a plus

Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
