We’re looking for a contract-to-hire Quality Inspector to work with the PSA Engineering & Quality Team in a variety of capacities including inspection of production parts for dimensional and cosmetic qualities per engineering drawings and other documents, accepting and rejecting parts based on findings, preparing quality reports for review by the quality engineer, all using tooling including computers, calipers, CMMs, and other inspection tools. You’ll report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and work onsite at our Santa Ana, CA office headquarters. What You’ll Do

Inspect incoming parts by conducting visual and dimensional tests Document inspection results by completing reports and tracking lists Inspect shipments of parts sent to other sites Who You Are

You have experience with cosmetic parts inspections You have experience with reading blueprints and engineering drawings You have experience measuring with and utilizing inspection equipment including calipers, CMMs, gauges, and other measuring tools You have at least 1 year of experience as a quality inspector in injection molding Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can take directions well You’re able to work in a deadline sensitive environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail. You have basic math skills and a basic level of experience working with computers and office systems like Google Workspace and Microsoft Office You have strong analytical skills with a background in reporting and documentation Physical Requirements

Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting. Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time. Exposure to Machinery: Exposure to machinery noise, which may include noise from forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery. Hand Use: Power gripping when using low-precision, high-impact hand tools that require significant force, such as hammer drills and torque wrenches. Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds. Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Temperature and Humidity: Occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling with fluctuations in temperatures and humidity. Walking: Ability to walk for long periods. Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $20-$26. Entry level operations positions generally start at an hourly rate of $17. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
