We are looking to hire a Carpenter Helper / Laborer.

Responsibilities

Know and understand all plans and specifications for the assigned job and immediately get answers to questions when plans and specifications are unclear.

Complete all work, as directed by the Lead Carpenter, Carpenter, and / or the Project Manager, related to carpentry and other work generally done by this company, such as : Framing-Exterior installation of windows and doors-Installation of the siding of all varieties, installation of interior doors-Installation of interior trim of all varieties, installation of cabinets, installation of and hookup of appliances.

Have knowledge of basic residential carpentry tools and equipment, as well as the ability to learn to utilize all tools of the trade that are required for proper installation of the above-mentioned tasks.

Ability to accurately measure and cut wood as instructed by the Lead Carpenter or Carpenter.

Maintains a clean job site.

Facilitate pick up of accurate materials as directed by the Lead Carpenter or Carpenter to ensure that trips to pick up additional material during the project are minimized.

Organizing company equipment and maintaining office grounds.

Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed as directed by the Lead Carpenter, Carpenter, or Project Manager in accordance with Federal and State regulations.

Assist the Carpenter and Lead Carpenter in ordering the proper amount of materials to ensure that trips to pick up additional materials during the project are minimized.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential construction.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License, a vehicle, and auto insurance coverage are required.

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful Permanent Resident.

Bring your own set of carpentry tools to the job. This includes but is not limited to hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, measuring equipment, and power tools like drills and sanders.

Strong working knowledge of job site safety, with preference given to candidates who have completed OSHA training.

High standard of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.

Ability to follow procedures and efficiently execute projects as directed.

Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and subcontractors.
