Overview
Construction/Installation Manager position at Wright-Patterson AFB (WPAFB), Ohio. Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) supports large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology and providing professional development within a collaborative culture. Responsibilities
Support future requirements to fabricate for new installations, modify designed systems, or currently installed systems. Manage fabrication and installation from concept description through equipment design, construction, installation, operation, instrumentation, measurement, and other automation techniques. Ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and meet technical, quality, and safety standards for facilities and structures. Collaborate with the management team to prepare layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, and estimates. Support fabrication, modification, or installation of research equipment or facilities supporting research efforts. Perform assembly and modifications, and install equipment and systems from design drawings or sketches in accordance with accepted engineering practices. Manage installations of Structural Systems, Electrical Systems, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Suppression Systems. Travel up to 10% as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of relevant experience. PMP desired. Must be a U.S. citizen. Public Trust/NACI required to start. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to multitask in a performance-based environment and to manage contract deliverables and reporting. Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with applicable codes and standards of the contract. Ability to pass customer security requirements and attend customer in-person meetings as required. Self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team; strong critical thinking skills.
