Overview We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, with proven expertise in electrical systems, schematics, and the use of diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. This role is key to keeping our facilities operating smoothly by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing effective repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure reliable, optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and controls.
Read and interpret schematics to accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track tasks and manage inventory.
Fabricate or modify parts and components as needed to complete repairs.
Carry out basic painting and finishing tasks to maintain facility appearance.
Lead small project teams, ensuring safety protocols are followed and deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work and communicate findings to management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with strong emphasis on electrical systems.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience with CMMS or other maintenance-tracking software.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support team members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Painting/finishing experience a plus (not required).
Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver with strong follow-through.
