Project Overview Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower’s Natrium team, an advanced sodium fast reactor project under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program.
Job Summary Perform pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 or B31.1, using Bentley AutoPipe. This role is part‑time telework with a requirement for at least three days of in‑person attendance per week.
Major Responsibilities
Model piping systems with Bentley AutoPipe to verify piping flexibility, stability, and equipment load qualification.
Conduct stress reviews of isometrics based on span tables.
Review work performed by other engineers.
Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality, cost‑effective design.
Coordinate with engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
Assume lead responsibilities for certain functions as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of related work experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills
US Citizen or legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and/or B31.1 and other relevant piping codes and standards.
Experience using a computer pipe stress analysis program (AutoPipe preferred).
