Job Description We are seeking several highly motivated and experienced Hydrogeologists with 3 or more years of professional experience with groundwater. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation in groundwater science and demonstrate expertise in various aspects of hydrogeology, including groundwater flow, contaminant transport, and field techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Groundwater Flow and Contaminant Transport
Apply knowledge of hydrogeologic principles to assess and model groundwater flow and contaminant transport processes.
Conduct data analysis and develop simulations to predict and manage groundwater movement and quality.
Conceptual Site Model (CSM) Development
Develop and refine CSMs to guide project planning and decision-making.
Integrate geological, hydrological, and environmental data to create accurate and comprehensive models.
Monitoring Well Design and Installation
Design and oversee the installation of monitoring wells in various geological settings.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards for well construction and data collection.
Field Execution and Data Analysis
Conduct aquifer and slug tests, including planning, execution, and data interpretation.
Perform hydrogeologic field investigations and ensure the accuracy of collected data.
Groundwater‑Surface Water Interaction
Analyze and evaluate interactions between groundwater and surface water systems.
Assess the impact of these interactions on water resources and environmental conditions.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare detailed technical reports, summaries, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field
3+ years of professional experience in groundwater-related work.
Proficiency in hydrogeologic software and modeling tools (MODFLOW)
Strong understanding of groundwater flow principles, contaminant transport, and field testing methodologies.
Experience in monitoring well design, aquifer testing, and data interpretation.
Familiarity with regulations and standards related to groundwater and environmental assessments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
