Position Summary Enabling an insights‑based commercial ecosystem is a critical growth accelerator for J&J MedTech. The Senior Analyst, Field Sales Insights is responsible for delivering Area, Regional, Territory and account‑level insights into their aligned Field Sales Area. Field Sales Area Vice Presidents must take on a general manager mentality when looking at their Area’s overall performance. In order to do so, this role must deliver in helping analyze, assess and act on data‑driven insights to achieve the business plan.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of business planning tools, analysis and insights reporting that provide the strategic framework for sales execution and business reporting, as well as sales force effectiveness and productivity.
Accurately and timely deliver insights to commercial organization senior leadership (Area Vice Presidents of Sales, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Area Business Partners, Area Trainers, etc.) by establishing and following efficient processes and working with business partners to resolve issues.
Provide action‑oriented insights to your aligned Field Sales Area Leadership team in partnership with other functions such as KAM Insights, Commercial Innovation, Pricing, Finance, third‑party, etc., and clearly present recommendations to respective partners.
Support Sales Force Effectiveness, Conversion, pull‑through assessments and best practices into your Field Sales Area.
Answer platform/business unit requests by creating customer‑based insights and analytics.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver customer insights as part of JJMT Surgery / Ethicon “data & insights ecosystem” to scale and operationalize insights sharing and actioning, progressing to more proactive and predictive insights.
Partner with Data Science and Solutions, IT, Customer Solutions (“the Center”), and other teams to identify where and how to scale capabilities. Develop and support innovative approaches to improve operating efficiency by eliminating redundant steps and automating manual work as appropriate.
Proactively find opportunities for business performance improvements and collaborate effectively with aligned stakeholders and cross‑functional teams, including finance, marketing, IT, etc.
Lead platform strategy analyses and targeting initiatives and raise the level of understanding across the organization of customers, accounts, procedures, products, contracts, IDNs, competition, and market dynamics.
Drive intuitive user‑friendly reporting across the business through partnership with internal partners, ensuring an environment for success exists.
Deliver metrics to sales teams linked to performance, commercial strategy, and targeting. Share key assessments and best practices on an ongoing basis.
Drive pull‑through and shared accountability to metrics and approach.
Serve as a change agent for critical commercial transformation initiatives and represent key customer insights with the Field Sales and Key Account Management organizations.
Create an open environment for team members across customer insights to share perspectives on current events across regions and provide feedback on how to improve analytics capabilities.
Recognize team members’ contributions to projects and major initiatives in team settings to acknowledge team’s success.
Qualifications
BS/BA in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field (required). MBA or MS or other advanced degree preferred.
3–5 years of work or industry experience.
A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in forecasting, strategic insights, business analytics, finance, or a related field.
Extensive experience partnering with and leading a cross‑functional team.
Superior understanding of data analysis and field sales/contracting landscape to build impactful trend analysis.
Ability to identify shortcomings in systems, processes, or tools and drive effective solutions for process improvements.
Ability to develop effective strategies and translate them into tactical activities to improve sales force effectiveness, including sales planning tools.
Ability to collaborate in a complex, constantly evolving environment within a matrixed organization.
Strong interdependent partnering skills; influence and consensus‑building skills.
Strong project management skills; creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Effective written, verbal communication, and presentation skills at various levels of management.
Leadership experience with Field Sales, Information Management/Information Technology, Contracting, and/or Marketing organization.
High technical skills that include Tableau, MS Office, Qlik, SAS, Power BI and other data tool sets (desirable).
Understanding of planning, execution, and measurement of sales and contracting process.
Experience partnering with Marketing, Field Sales and Information Management/Information Technology organizations.

Pay Transparency The anticipated base pay range for this position is $77,000 – $124,200. The company maintains highly competitive, performance‑based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. Bonuses are awarded at the company’s discretion on an individual basis.
