HL Contractors, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Superintendent to join our growing company. As a commercial general contractor known for performance‑based interior work, we take pride in quality construction delivered within budget and on time.
Position Summary: The Construction Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel to successfully complete allocated projects on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include maintaining highest quality standards, supervising all trades, and enforcing construction safety practices. The Superintendent manages the job site office, oversees project closeout, and reports to the Project Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
Direct all field personnel to ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
Maintain construction schedules and identify and solve problems.
Order equipment and materials and schedule inspections as required throughout project durations.
Accurately track and account for all material and equipment on site, providing required reports.
Fully understand project plans, specifications, and safety policies and requirements.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
Prepare, schedule, and supervise completion of final punch list and other close‑out documents.
Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify hazards immediately.
Administer daily and weekly reports and conduct required safety meetings.
Ensure all employees and contractors adhere to the company safety policy.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.

Has strong computer skills and can work effectively with Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience: Minimum 7–10 years successful experience as a commercial construction Superintendent. College degree not required, but high‑rise, supermarket, or retail experience is a huge benefit. Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production across all divisions of commercial construction is required, as is experience managing multiple projects. OSHA 10‑Hour, CPR, and First Aid certifications are required. Proficiency with computer, iPad technology, and construction software programs is essential.
