Design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools for guidance, navigation, and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles, and upper stages during powered, coast, and staging phases.
Simulate guidance functions to achieve desired positions, orientations or orbits, and navigation functions to process measured data for precision guidance.
Develop control laws and hardware/software requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles, and spacecraft.
Work on a 6 DOF simulation to design and test missile flight code, create and implement simulation models, and evaluate system performance.
Perform mission analysis on flight test and tactical systems, guiding missile flight dynamics, and testing missile autopilot, navigation, and guidance schemes.
Mentor and train early‑career engineers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and required years of experience: 17 years of related experience or a master’s and 15 years, or a PhD and 12 years.
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope at time of application.
Expertise in Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems engineering: architecture specification, requirements generation, modeling and simulation, hardware/software integration, and flight test.
Experience designing, implementing, and testing guidance and autopilot algorithms.
Travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with GNC systems for hypersonic missiles.
Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment.
Proficiency in MATLAB and Python toolchains.
Experience developing navigation systems for tactical missiles.
Salary Range Primary Level Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to the base pay. Long Term Incentives may be available for Vice President or Director positions.
