Emissions Dyno Test Engineer Are you looking for a role where you can use your knowledge of automotive emissions to make a difference with the environment? We have a position for an emission test engineer to create and execute test plans in the test cell, and run data quality checks.

What you will be doing:

Creating test plans from meeting with stakeholders on what needs to be tested.

Running those test plans in the test cell.

Doing data quality checks to ensure the data was captured correctly and then pass off to other engineers.

Evaluate and execute design verification plan and report (DVPR) validation items for individual on board diagnostics (OBD) monitors to determine if a vehicle emission control device or system is failing.

This includes, but not limited to, support initial test plans and execute to plan, daily performance test cell testing, daily test cell data quality checks, general data analysis, daily coordination with tech cell technicians and Lab Ops personnel, and collaboration with other engineers and leaders.

Obtaining input and negotiating with technical managers, and Lab Ops team.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:

Experience with engine dyno/test cells.

Engine or aftertreatment performance

Humble, teachable, and who solve their own problems

Effective and collaborative team player

Good communicator - written and verbal

Great collaborator

What you’ll need to be successful:

College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.

Fundamental understanding of the internal combustion engines and aftertreatment systems.

On the job engine testing, chassis dyno, or test cell experience with familiarity of data acquisition and instrumentation.

Experience in communicating and presenting technical content with external customers preferred.

Experience with different data processing tools for complex or large data sets (Matlab, concerto, excel, or similar).

Familiarity with on-highway emission legislation and requirements preferred.

Calibration and OBD tuning experience a plus.
