Job Description Cardiac Sonographer, Full-Time, Days, 7:30AM-6PM Job Summary: Performs diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound procedures following professional, technical standards, and hospital-specific protocols to produce sonographic images and measurements that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disorders. Performs procedures on ambulatory as well as acute care patients of all ages from neonates to geriatrics. Manages all tasks necessary to self-manage the laboratory and provides a healing patient care environment while promoting excellence in customer service.

Qualifications Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program. RDCS/RCS or RVT/RVS registry required. BLS required.

Work Orientation & Experience: One year of cardiac or vascular experience preferred. Dual cardiac and vascular experience is highly preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Visual and hearing abilities sufficient for observing and interpreting technical information from equipment displays, graphics, and written sources.

Ability to perform cardiac/vascular ultrasound procedures steadily, even with acutely ill patients, anxious family members, multiple physician requests, and changing supervisory requirements.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Relate positively with and reassure patients.

Maintain discretion with patients.

Organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities.

Make independent decisions following current policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively, projecting a positive organizational image in support of Service Excellence.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $34.05/hr - $56.35/hr
