Job Title: Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Location: Columbia, MD

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Contract Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Hybrid - Onsite Monday through Friday for the first two weeks of training; Tuesday/Thursday/Friday onsite after training)

Overview TEKsystems' client is seeking Bilingual Customer Service Representatives to join a fast‑paced support team for an Automated Traffic Safety Enforcement program. This role is ideal for individuals who are fluent in English and Spanish, have strong communication skills, and thrive in a structured, customer‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

Handle inbound calls from citizens regarding parking violations.

Provide accurate information and resolution in a professional and empathetic manner.

Perform data entry, document verification, and assist with payment processing.

Navigate multiple computer applications confidently.

Maintain clear and concise documentation of customer interactions.

Uphold a high level of attentiveness and professionalism onsite.

Qualifications

Fluent in English and Spanish.

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience, including 1 year in a call center.

Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.

Typing speed of at least 30-35 WPM.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Work Environment & Expectations

Onsite attendance and punctuality are critical.

Must be fully attentive during shifts, including breaks.

Calls are monitored for quality assurance.

Pay & Benefits Pay range: $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
