Position Summary:
The Field Canvassing Team Lead oversees hiring, training, and managing a team of Field Canvassers to generate sales leads and build brand awareness in high‑probability neighborhoods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive canvassing‑based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representatives.
Plan and schedule route calendars (including evenings and weekends) for the team.
Manage a multi‑team territory to generate customer leads.
Recruit, hire, train, and develop the team and set marketing goals and KPIs.
Ensure permit compliance with local ordinances and regulations.
Collaborate with the Field Canvassing Manager, Operations and Installation Managers to grow local brand presence.
Track and report canvassing lead generation metrics to evaluate performance and ROI.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of management experience in field canvassing for a direct‑to‑consumer industry.
Experience in customer service and/or sales.
Experience in lead generation, experiential marketing, and/or field canvassing.
Experience recruiting, onboarding, and training marketing, canvassing, and/or event staff.
Knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for canvassing and direct‑to‑consumer field marketing.
Ability to work outside in varying climates, evenings, and/or weekends.
Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and capable of juggling multiple tasks without dropping the ball.
Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
Logical thinking, problem‑solving, and reflection skills.
Requirement to be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Home improvement knowledge and/or experience.
Travel Requirements:
Local travel required.
Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:
Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).
Physical Requirements:
Work in a field office/manufacturing/construction environment.
Perform work outdoors in varying temperatures and climates.
Sedentary work with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 10 pounds.
