Business Project Manager, Customer Platform Solution – Orca Bio
We are seeking a high‑performing Business Project Manager, Customer Platform Solution to serve as the business lead and to execute on the implementation, and evolution for Orca Bio’s Cell Therapy Ordering and Coordination Platform. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring our digital solution meets the needs and enables hospital partners to access our first in‑class therapy, Orca‑T, while supporting seamless operational execution for Orca‑T’s commercial launch.
This role requires exceptional business acumen, cross‑functional collaboration, and strong project management skills. While technical software expertise is not required, proven experience driving strategic business initiatives is essential. As the platform stabilizes, the Business Project Manager will pivot to work on a portfolio of strategic initiatives across the Product Supply organization—driving operational scalability, cross‑functional alignment, and continuous improvement as we prepare for commercial growth.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership and Analysis for Platform Development
Serve as the primary business owner for the design, development, and implementation of Orca Bio’s digital cell therapy ordering and coordination platform.
Partner closely with IT, Commercial, Market Access, Operations, and external vendors to ensure the platform is aligned with commercial strategy and launch readiness.
Define business requirements, customer needs, and success metrics for platform functionality.
2. Order Management & Patient Journey Workflow Integration
Map and validate the end‑to‑end order management workflow, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Capture and translate the patient journey into actionable platform requirements, focusing on the needs of physicians, treatment centers, and patients.
Ensure that platform design supports customer ease‑of‑use, operational reliability, and scalability post‑launch.
3. Project Management & Cross‑Functional Execution
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure readiness for 2026 launch.
Lead cross‑functional project teams, facilitate decision‑making, and communicate progress to executive stakeholders.
Identify risks, anticipate challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the program on track.
4. Strategic Operations Projects
Lead high‑impact projects that improve operational effectiveness and enable scale after platform rollout.
Examples include capacity planning, real‑time visibility tools, U.S. apheresis market assessment, and scalable systems implementation.
Act as a trusted thought partner to Product Supply leadership in identifying and solving operational pain points with long‑term impact.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced degree in business, healthcare management, or related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
5–8+ years of experience in project management, strategy, or business leadership roles, ideally within biotech, pharma, or healthcare services.
Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategic vision into operational execution.
Familiarity with commercial launch planning, market access, or patient services in biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
Outstanding communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, scaling environment with high levels of ambiguity.
Customer‑first mindset with experience applying user‑centered design principles.
Familiarity with digital product development processes.

Additional Qualifications
Familiarity with digital product development processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub).
Software development experience.
Experience working in regulated environments, especially in cell/gene therapy or advanced biologics.
