Position Summary Are you an early-career civil engineer ready to take the next step? Do you have experience in land development or commercial projects? Are you excited at the prospect of joining an expanding firm?
Commercial Development Resources (CDR) is looking for driven civil design engineers to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for civil engineering design, planning, and other related tasks. You will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
About Us – Commercial Development Resources (CDR) CDR is a civil engineering firm focused on land development located in Costa Mesa, California. Outside the building, CDR delivers all land development services including :
Civil engineering
Dry utilities
Landscape architecture
Planning and permitting

Responsibilities
Prepare grading, storm drain, utility, sewer, as-built, and street improvement plans under direction of Project Manager
Research, interpret and apply city standards, codes and zoning requirements as it applies to sites
Communicate with agencies and plan checkers
Prepare comment response letters
Meet project deadlines with a sense of urgency
Adhere to CDR standards and core values
Maintain a positive attitude and strong willingness to continually learn and grow
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
2+ years in Land Development
Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D
Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes
P.E. license is a plus
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
