Commercial Real Estate Paralegal – Affordable Housing Focus
Washington, DC | $80,000–$130,000 + Paid Overtime | Hybrid after 90 days
Position Highlights
Schedule:
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Model:
Onsite (5 days/week during first 90 days), then up to
2 remote days weekly
Billable Target:
1,500 hours annually
Compensation:
$80K–$130K base + paid overtime (typically 3–5 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities
Manage title and survey due diligence, reviewing commitments, surveys, and related documents; liaise directly with title agents and surveyors.
Organize and manage closing processes, including execution tracking, signature packages, and binder assembly.
Draft and prepare real estate acquisition, disposition, and financing documents, entity formation materials (LLCs, LPs, corporations), and consent resolutions.
Coordinate corporate due diligence and maintain detailed electronic files within firm systems (NetDocs, Aderant, etc.).
Communicate directly with attorneys, clients, and government agencies to ensure smooth transactions.
Maintain organized closing files and prepare post-closing binders.
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm or title company.
Strong familiarity with closing procedures, due diligence, and corporate filings.
Bachelor’s degree and/or ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocs, and electronic signature platforms. Experience with iTimekeep or Aderant a plus.
