Job Description
Located in Templeton amongst the oak trees, Adventist Health Twin Cities is a 122‑bed acute care facility serving northern San Luis Obispo County since 1977. The team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and a broad range of medical, surgical and outpatient services. Job Summary Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross‑sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and CT. This position is represented by SEIU.
Education and Work Experience Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
Licenses / Certifications
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) – Required
Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice – Required
Advanced Certification in the modality of CT – Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification – Required
Fluoroscopy license in state of employment – Required
Venipuncture certification – Preferred
ARRT‑Radiography (ARRT‑R) or ARRT‑Computed Tomography (ARRT‑CT) – Required
Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) – Required
Essential Functions
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
Maintains accurate records, files and billing information; ensures integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
