Director of Nursing
– Banyan Treatment Centers – Laurel Run, PA
Description Lead our nursing team within an inpatient setting, serving individuals experiencing substance‑use and/or co‑occurring disorders. As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring clinical excellence, patient care, regulatory compliance, and the professional growth of RNs and LPNs.
Position Details
Reports to: Executive Director
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm; flexibility required.
Location: Laurel Run, PA (On‑site)
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support nurses to foster a positive, goal‑driven work environment.
Manage staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll.
Collaborate with providers to deliver medically sound care, including health assessments and patient education.
Oversee performance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Lead orientations, trainings, and evaluations.
Develop and enforce nursing policies that meet DEA, licensure, and regulatory requirements.
Work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless, integrated care.
Monitor medication administration.
Participate in audits, review nursing documentation, and uphold Joint Commission and healthcare standards.
Provide ongoing training and leadership development to advance nursing staff skills and career growth.
Enforce infection control, safety protocols, and risk mitigation practices.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in a nursing management role.
Minimum of 2 years in behavioral and/or mental healthcare settings.
Active RN license in the State of Pennsylvania.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school; BSN or MSN preferred.
Proven expertise in healthcare administration, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
Experience in multi‑department coordination.
