Neurosurgery - Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant Join Hartford HealthCare Medical Group as a Neurosurgery‑focused Advanced Practice Provider. Your role will support neurosurgical services through clinical care and peri‑operative assistance.

Location : 85 Seymour Street – Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHMOB), 10117.

Shift : Mon‑Fri. 4 ten‑hour shifts per week, M‑F. Hours may vary with case load.

Advanced Provider Role Scope

Unique, 1:1 training with a neurosurgeon.

Growth and development opportunities within a skilled practice team.

Both clinic and OR time (1st Assist).

Participation in work‑up, planning, and surgical procedures, including advanced cranial and spine surgeries (craniotomies for epilepsy, tumor, trauma, and complex deformability spine cases).

Engage with a team of advanced practitioners with extensive neurosurgery experience.

Prior experience with patient care and commitment to supporting patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred.

Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.

Certification or eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification required for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Preferred >1‑year experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or Orthopedic setting; 1st Assist in OR preferred.
