Finance Plant Controller

serves as a key financial leader at our manufacturing/foundry facility, responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting operational decision-making. This position partners closely with plant leadership to provide financial insight, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen internal controls. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, strategic leader who enjoys developing people and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of plant accounting, cost management, and financial reporting. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, variance analyses, and operational KPIs. Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and internal control standards. Manage the plant’s annual budget and monthly forecasting processes in collaboration with operations leadership. Operational Partnership Act as a financial business partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, translating financial data into actionable insights. Monitor and analyze production costs, scrap, labor efficiency, and overhead to identify improvement opportunities. Support strategic initiatives around pricing, capital investments, and process improvement. Supervise and mentor a team of five accounting professionals, including cost accountants and financial analysts. Promote a collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on professional development and cross‑training. Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans to enhance team capabilities. Process Improvement & Controls Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial operations and systems. Lead or support audits and ensure all compliance requirements are met. Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Plant Controller or Accounting Manager in a manufacturing or foundry environment. Proven experience managing a team of 5 or more direct reports. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard cost systems. Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to develop talent and foster a positive, high‑performance culture.
