Responsibilities
Teach in-person Portuguese courses in the Global Languages department under the Division of the Humanities and Learning Communities.
Teach courses at the following levels: POR‑101 (Beginner), POR‑102 (Beginner), POR‑201 (Intermediate).
Deliver courses fully in-person on campus.
Requirements
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Portuguese or a related field.
Experience teaching various levels and sections of POR‑101 and/or POR‑201.
Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
Experience with high‑impact teaching and learning practices such as undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, and learning communities.
Proven ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.
Community college teaching experience preferred.
Ability to teach in person on BHCC’s Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.
Salary $1,397.00 per credit hour.
