Overview
Family Resource Advocate - Leave Replacement Position This grant-funded role serves as a liaison between the schools and families to provide needed support and collaboration in support of academic success for students. The position works to provide case management including coordination with school staff and community resources. Provides meaningful, positive, and sustainable academic and social interventions to students/families who may need additional support. Collaborates with district and school staff to support activities that enhance family engagement.

Shift Details:
7 hours a day; Leave Replacement position only from 1/5/2026-4/10/2026 at Alderwood Middle School. Non-Continuing Position:
This position is non-continuing for the 2025-2026 school year only. Typically, non-continuing assignments fill a variety of temporary vacancies to help the school district meet a short-term work demand. This work assignment expires on the end date of employment and there is no reasonable assurance for work after the end date. An employee\'s total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary. FLSA Status:
Non-exempt Hourly Rate:
$50.17 per hour (2025-2026 Professional - Technical Employee Salary Schedule) Position Type/Level:
Professional - Technical Employee Level E
Qualifications
Education and Experience: B.A. or B.S. in social work, education, psychology, or related field. Four years of related work experience or a combination of education and equivalent work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement. Licenses/Special Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a reliable method of transportation. Required to travel to various building sites. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual/Multilingual preferred (ability to speak and write fluently in both English and another language). Master’s Degree in Human and Social Services (or similar field) is preferred.

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services and retirement packages. Benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year. Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.50 hours per day in a continuing position.
