Human Resources Business Partner – Detroit, MI On‑site, Monday – Friday.

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join a quickly growing company in Detroit, MI. The position encompasses a range of responsibilities including employee relations, team performance, learning and development, total rewards, and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

Respond professionally to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions, ensuring compliance.

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, testing, selection, and orientation training of new team members.

Facilitate new hire orientation for hourly and salaried employees.

Administer and maintain personnel records, including hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.

Administer benefits programs such as vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

Assist with workers' compensation and safety issues.

Prepare team member separation notices and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

Interpret and manage UAW/Collective Bargaining Agreement and counsel management on CBA processes.

Conduct employee relations investigations.

Manage headcount in accordance with operational needs.

Maintain KPI data such as absenteeism and turnover.

Facilitate and support community events and recognition activities.

Support management in developing and tracking training plans for employees.

Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

3+ years of related Human Resources experience and/or training.

1+ year of labor relations experience is required, specifically with UAW.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.07 – $45.67/hr.
