IT Network Infrastructure Engineer Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Infrastructure Engineer with a strong networking background to maintain, optimize, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring connectivity, uptime, and performance while collaborating closely with our broader IT and cloud teams.

Key Responsibilities

24/7 on‑call readiness: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to provide continuous support and ensure smooth operations across all business systems.

Network leadership: Serve as the primary networking expert, providing direction for current systems and guiding the evolution of our future network strategy.

Network operations: Administer and maintain network components across multiple sites, including switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and overall connectivity.

Issue resolution: Troubleshoot, configure, and support network hardware and software routers, firewalls, virtual appliances, and wireless infrastructure.

Cloud collaboration: Work alongside the Azure Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance cloud‑based network environments.

Security & uptime: Safeguard network reliability and data integrity by implementing and monitoring robust security practices.

Documentation: Maintain updated network diagrams, configurations, and documentation for internal reference and compliance.

Monitoring & optimization: Set up and refine monitoring systems for proactive alerts and performance tuning.

Technical expertise: Apply advanced understanding of network protocols, systems, and architecture to improve efficiency and reliability.

Virtualization experience: Utilize enterprise virtualization technologies such as Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper‑V.

Hybrid environment management: Support both on‑premises and cloud network infrastructures, particularly within Azure environments.

Cross‑team collaboration: Assist in additional infrastructure projects and initiatives across IT as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional background: 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing networks in multi‑site enterprise environments.

Technical proficiency: In‑depth knowledge of high‑availability firewalls (Barracuda CloudGen preferred), VLANs, routing and switching, DNS, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, and Azure‑based networking.

Automation skills: Ability to streamline repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Python or shell scripting.

Collaborative mindset: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnering effectively with both technical and non‑technical colleagues.

Analytical problem solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex network issues efficiently and independently.

Cloud networking: Experience working with Azure NSGs, load balancing, and Meraki VPN concentrators.

Security awareness: Familiarity with PCI standards and a proactive approach to network and data security.

Organization & agility: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.

Travel flexibility: Ability to travel occasionally to support distribution centers and other remote facilities as required.
