As a
Civil Engineer
at Atwell, your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, including the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in residential, commercial, and/or industrial land development!
Site Plan Excellence:
You’ll be responsible for drafting preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
Data Analysis:
Dive into project survey data to assess existing site conditions, considering various factors, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
Comprehensive Reporting:
Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations crucial for project direction. This may include hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer’s opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading.
Construction Support:
Offer valuable construction‑related services, such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under the guidance of Senior staff.
Engineering Software Mastery:
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently, ensuring they align with established standards.
Effective Communication:
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with current staff members, ensuring seamless project coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of experience
EIT
AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD
