Senior Software Engineer – SAP IBP
Join the Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team and help build the next generation of connected systems and tools using microservices architecture or ERP platforms. In this role you will support critical business functions such as Supply Chain, Cost, Schedule, Networking, Commissioning, Safety, and Planning in real‑time.
Location & Work Options
Locations: Atlanta, GA; Washington, D.C.; Redmond, WA; San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ.
Relocation support available; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the hub office.
Hybrid or remote work up to 100%.
Responsibilities
Perform end‑to‑end SAP IBP implementation activities (requirement gathering, fit‑gap analysis, system configuration & customization, cutover, Go‑live).
Lead technical design discussions with key business stakeholders to translate business requirements into solution deliverables.
Resolve complex system integration challenges with internal and external teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders and demonstrate features developed in an Agile environment.
Design, architect, and provide technical leadership for peer developers.
Share learnings and code assets with the CO+I Engineering team.
Required Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years of hands‑on experience implementing E2E SAP IBP Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Planning.
Experience configuring SAP IBP solutions, managing security profiles, and establishing integrations with MDG, D365, and other systems.
4+ full‑cycle SAP IBP Supply Planning implementations.
Technical implementation knowledge of integrations with SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, and other internal/external systems.
Other Requirements
Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field AND 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing, coding, and delivering software solutions at scale.
OR Master’s degree in computer science or related field AND 5+ years of experience implementing integrations with D365, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, or similar systems.
Experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to rapid production deployment.
Experience in construction/capital projects and integration of supply‑chain activities into Engineering, Procurement & Construction.
Experience creating and shipping V1 products using modern development practices.
Experience using agile methodologies and/or test‑driven development (TDD).
Strong curiosity, willingness to question, and a desire to innovate, ideate, and implement new products and processes.
