Sr. Technology Solutions Analyst (Center for Media & Technology Solutions)

Johns Hopkins Engineering seeks a Sr. Technology Solutions Analyst to join the Center for Media & Technology Solutions (CMTS). The role bridges technology, higher‑education business operations, and user experience, ensuring high‑quality technical solutions that meet the needs of the Whiting School of Engineering stakeholders. Responsibilities

Conduct technology needs analysis, business analysis, and technology consulting services for CMTS stakeholders. Analyze and gather complex requirements, document findings, and develop functional and technical specifications. Develop detailed project plans, scope, milestones, and deliverable schedules for highly complex projects. Design, develop, and guide the implementation of integrated solutions, ensuring alignment with system architecture and best practices. Create and execute comprehensive test scenarios (manual and automated) to validate application functionality and performance. Author and maintain technical and end‑user documentation. Mentor junior staff on design, development, testing, and support activities. Implement changes following change management policies and resolve complex issues promptly. Triage and provide ongoing support for high‑priority production problems. Collaborate with IT and partner teams to assess feasibility, propose solutions, and deliver value‑added outcomes. Support CMTS initiatives including AI enablement and technology transformation efforts. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum six years of experience in testing, requirement gathering, or related technical roles. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions. Strong communication skills—verbal and written—and the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience with test‑driven development, test case creation, and defect management. Experience designing solution architecture and approach in a higher‑education environment (preferred). Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree. Six years of relevant experience in testing and business requirements gathering. Education may be substituted for experience as allowed by the JHU equivalency formula. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with educational technology platforms (e.g., Canvas LMS, SharePoint, Zoom). Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT. Experience with customer support platforms such as Zendesk. Knowledge of application lifecycle management tools such as JIRA. Higher‑education experience is helpful but not required. Expected Skills
