The Director, Actuary is responsible for leading new business underwriting of commercial value‑based care contracts. This teammate will manage a small but growing actuarial manager and analyst team responsible for validating and transforming data from external payers, modeling the economics of new contracts, and developing recommendations on pricing to our payer partnerships team. Duties also include enhancing enterprise risk management capabilities, applying predictive models, researching health care industry trends, and developing and delivering executive‑level presentations.
Responsibilities
Lead new contract actuarial underwriting process, from data transformation to final recommendations to business leaders.
Manage teammate productivity and performance within new business lane of the DaVita actuarial team.
Support enterprise risk management process and capability development (20% of time).
Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $146,600.00–$215,300.00 per year. Compensation will depend on a number of factors, including candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
