Role Overview LACHIN Architects, apc is seeking a Senior Architect to join our experienced team serving clients across the Gulf South region. This team‑leader position requires a licensed architect with strong project management skills and deep technical knowledge. You will take full ownership of projects—from early design concepts through construction administration—while mentoring staff, leading client relationships, and ensuring the highest quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of architectural projects from Programming through Construction Administration.

Lead internal teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and contractual agreements.

Oversee and partake in the production of construction documents and specifications with high technical accuracy.

Review and manage quality control, schedules, and budgets.

Address constructability, cost control, and risk management proactively.

Client and Business Development

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Develop and maintain professional relationships and project opportunities.

Support marketing efforts, including proposal development and presentations.

Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning and positioning.

Mentorship and Team Support

Provide mentorship, training, and coaching to junior staff.

Promote a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture.

Maintain current architectural license.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years managing projects and teams.

Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong understanding of design principles, detailing, and building systems.

Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage client expectations and deliver exceptional service.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with the permitting process in Louisiana and the Gulf South.

Experience in sectors such as education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial architecture.

Background in business development or proposal writing.

Knowledge of construction contract negotiation and administration.
