We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join the FreightCar America team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing agencies, company leadership, and project teams to craft materials that showcase FCA’s expertise, keeping us top-of-mind with our customers and in the marketplace.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the value of consistent brand storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Flexibility, curiosity, and the ability to communicate across a range of styles are essential. The marketing specialist develops, executes, and monitors marketing campaigns to promote products or services by creating advertising, analyzing data, and communicating with the target audience. They will have a focus on specific areas like social media and market presence, sales and marketing content, paid media, CRM, and developing strategic customer presentations and supporting key customer/industry events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and produce compelling digital marketing and sales materials.

Research market trends and consumer behavior to help define and adapt marketing strategies.

Design, create and oversee multi-platform marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertisements to support campaign management.

Collect, analyze, and report on market data to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Content Creation such as drafting, revising, and publishing content for various marketing channels, including social media, email, and websites.

Collaborate with teams and communicate with target audiences to increase awareness and drive engagement.

Collaborate with executive and senior leaders to develop high-quality statements of interest, marketing campaigns and packages, proposals, and sales presentations.

Write and edit original content for internal and external communications, including the website, social media, and marketing collateral.

Create an online presence on social media and manage consistent market messaging and branding.

Monitor email deliverability across domains for all brand campaigns implemented.

Keep abreast of marketing and email industry best practices and new technology by participating in professional organizations, as well as attending industry seminars and conferences

Analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.

Using various content management systems, analytics tools, and other digital platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience

3-5 years of experience in Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, Direct Mail, experience

Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on work experience creating marketing campaigns

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Developer Certified preferred

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Strong client service and project management skills; in particular, must have the ability to communicate with both business and technical individuals effectively

Knowledge of databases, email, digital, 1:1 marketing concepts and best practices

Inquisitive, strong analytical skills, including the ability to infer and apply learnings

Proficiency with MS Excel and SQL

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Possesses strong research and information‑gathering abilities.

Understands branding and can apply visual and messaging standards consistently.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 (depending on years of experience).

Compensation for this role includes a base salary plus an annual discretionary bonus. Details on our benefits will be shared during the interview process.
