About This Role: As our AGC, you’ll be a key business partner across the entire Crexi organization — not only protecting the business against legal, regulatory, and reputational risk, but driving revenue and accelerating our growth. You’ll play an instrumental role in our expansion into new products and business relationships. You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to build, design, and launch products and features. You’ll partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to optimize our engagement with customers. And you’ll join a growing Legal Team that’s tackling some of the most fascinating legal, regulatory, and policy challenges in CRE. Reporting to our General Counsel, you’ll be the second lawyer at Crexi and have an opportunity to build and shape the legal function from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

Be embedded as the primary business partner for the Product and Engineering teams, identifying both risk (IP, consumer protection, privacy, data rights, security, regulatory issues) and growth opportunities

Support the Marketing Team in a variety of advertising, branding, and product marketing efforts

Partner with the General Counsel on litigation management and avoidance

Help negotiate strategic partnerships, enterprise deals, technology contracts, and other commercial agreements

Champion and establish Legal as an accelerant; operate in a fast‑moving startup with a growth mindset

Provide pragmatic guidance to stakeholders across Crexi; navigate risk but don’t necessarily avoid it at all costs

Help build a best‑in‑class legal function; hire amazing talent; create scalable legal processes; leverage legal tech and AI to improve our performance

Help build a bench of world‑class advisors; engage and manage outside counsel

Be a trusted advisor company‑wide, from entry level employees to the CEO, COO, and Board

Who You Are:

Deep experience advising product and commercial teams at high‑growth startup or tech platform

Confidence working closely with product and engineering teams, from ideation through launch

Comfortable acting as a generalist and juggling a variety of legal issues, even if outside your core expertise

Demonstrated ability to align legal expertise with business goals

Success navigating the fast‑moving and rapidly changing environment of a startup

Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to articulate complex legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders

A proactive mentality and a bias for action

Excited to own workstreams; comfortable making important legal and business decisions

The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Playa Vista, California location is $215,000-$280,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc ("Crexi") is a multi‑state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
