Role Overview
This Corporate Strategy Consulting Associate will support strategic planning and initiatives at the enterprise and business unit levels, drive data‑backed insights, market analysis, and strategic planning efforts that inform executive decision‑making. The role serves as a Strategy generalist within a growing Strategic Planning practice.
Responsibilities Support development of multi‑year strategic plans at the enterprise and business unit levels.
Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Analyze internal performance data to identify key strategic insights and performance drivers.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Finance, Innovation, HR, Technology, etc.) to inform strategic priorities.
Support business case development for new initiatives, partnerships, and M&A assessments.
Build executive‑level presentations and briefing materials for strategic planning sessions.
Partner with Strategy Execution and Recognition teams to monitor progress and performance of core strategic initiatives.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills High school diploma required.
6+ years of related professional experience, including 2–5 years in management consulting or corporate strategy with exposure to the Property & Casualty industry.
Experience supporting strategic planning cycles, including long‑range planning, with demonstrated ability to distill market and internal insights into executive‑ready insights and deliverables.
Proven competitive benchmarking, industry trend analysis, and financial modeling skills.
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional peers and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and completion of an MBA are a plus.
Experience with multiple business lines within the Property and Casualty industry including Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Excess & Surplus.
Familiarity with retail insurance industry regulation, competitive dynamics, and strategic partnerships.
Strong business acumen, problem‑solving skills, and a strategic mindset.
Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and synthesizing complex data sets.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel as needed for role, including divisional/team meetings and in‑person meetings.
Other Information
Travel is required as needed. Candidates must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States. Remote positions are open anywhere in the U.S., except Hawaii and Alaska.
