Project Assistant for a Construction Company We are a growing General Construction firm specializing in interior remodeling of retail stores, restaurants and offices located in the Energy Corridor area. We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team. This position will require the individual to work with a Project Manager to estimate jobs, run awarded projects and collect all paperwork to properly close‑out projects.
Duties
Upon receipt of an invitation to bid from our clients, set up Bid Folders and gather all information necessary for PM to bid project
Prepare and send out invitations to bid to Subcontractors
Prepare contracts, waivers of lien, warranty guarantee letters and purchase orders
Obtain all Subcontractor insurance certificates, invoices and paperwork to ensure prompt payment to subs
Communicate and coordinate project activities with Project Manager and Field Superintendent
Manage our subcontractor data‑base
Assist the Project Manager with day‑to‑day activities as required
Collect all Job Close‑out Documentation
Qualifications Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a project administrator/assistant. College education and/or Construction experience. Potential candidate will be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and a self‑starter. The right candidate must be willing to learn, a quick thinker, and have excellent computer and communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF converter. Experience in Microsoft Access is a PLUS.
