Leidos is in search of an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our diverse and fast‑paced EPC Solutions organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with other electric utility disciplines, playing a valuable part in leading and designing high voltage utility Civil Substation projects. This position will be part of our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides consulting services to both public‑owned and investor‑owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with overall project management tasks in the areas of comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation and transmission line projects nationwide. The Civil Site Engineer will be a part of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Primary Responsibilities
Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and/or federal regulations and permit requirements
Research additional site data through various sources
Site layout, grading, and drainage design
Stormwater modeling and design
Erosion and sediment control design
Access road design
Utility coordination and design
Retaining wall layout and design
Documentation of all supporting calculations
Quantity take‑offs
Construction drawings
Construction specifications
Construction observation and field engineering
Coordination and collaboration with our clients, as well as other design disciplines, project managers and field personnel
As an experienced engineer, you can also expect to take part in coaching, guiding and reviewing work of less experienced team members.
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of directly applicable civil‑site design experience
Professional Engineer License Required
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software.
Experience with Hydraflow and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
Ability to execute projects and handle client interaction successfully with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools
Experience with Vehicle Tracking
Strong analytical and technical writing skills
Team player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
Willing to travel, up to 25%
