Role Overview We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal I who will provide essential support to the Litigation Legal Assistant department and attorneys throughout all phases of litigation. Working under the supervision of attorneys, case managers, or senior litigation staff, this role plays a critical part in trial preparation, document management, and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities
Assists in all aspects of trial preparation, including organizing trial materials and exhibits.
Coordinating logistics and managing courtroom technology.
Attending trial proceedings to provide on‑site support.
Prepares and maintains routine correspondence with clients.
Organizes and manages pleadings, correspondence, and legal filings through indexing and imaging.
Utilizes litigation support software, including Relativity, for document review and case management.
Supports document production processes: review and redact sensitive materials; assists in the distribution and tracking of produced documents.
Maintains and updates deposition files and indices of deposition exhibits.
Prepares documents for witness depositions, including exhibit packets and outlines.
Drafts and formats legal documents under attorney supervision.
Performs routine errands to support litigation and trial operations, including transporting legal documents, assisting with courthouse filings, and picking up/delivering materials to attorneys, case managers, and trial support staff.
Coordinates trial‑related logistics such as retrieving supplies, ordering and picking up meals, and ensuring timely delivery of items needed by attorneys and support teams.
Collaborates with Litigation & Trial Support team members on special projects and overflow tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned to support litigation operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; majors in legal studies, political science, or related fields preferred.
Experience in a professional business or legal environment preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including virtual meeting platforms such as Teams and Zoom.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to firm‑specific software and client databases.
Strong research skills using online tools, court websites, and legal databases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client service.
Self‑motivated and able to take initiative while remaining receptive to direction.
Capable of working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
Professional demeanor with the ability to interact courteously and effectively with attorneys, clients, court staff, vendors, and colleagues.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

The base annual pay range for this role is between $60,000 – $65,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.
