Job Description The client is looking for an experienced hands‑on Power Platform developer. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Microsoft’s Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills to effectively discuss both technical and business requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Create and configure Power Apps and Power Automate, both Canvas and Model‑Driven apps.
Create and configure Power Pages for external and internal websites.
Work with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, and SPFx.
Customize, configure, develop, deploy, and use Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
Use Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Lead discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
Map business challenges to functional solutions and develop applications using the Power Platform.
Maintain certifications in PowerApps Professional or PowerApps Developer.
Participate in code reviews and enforce standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot Dynamics 365 / Power Platform issues, document solutions, and work with system administrators and IT resources to implement fixes.
Create design solutions and documentation for common use‑case scenarios.
Lead DevOps in Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator) initiatives.
Develop and disseminate documentation (requirements, recommendations, technical analysis).
Prepare mockups/prototypes based on requirements and use knowledge of D365/Power Platform features/tools to offer solutions that meet business needs.
Adhere to best practices and define/refine a governance approach for the platform’s use at VDOT.
Participate in Agile SDLC.
Required and Desired Skills
Experience with Power Platform and Dataverse – 5+ years.
Designing, implementing and migrating solutions utilizing Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) – 5+ years.
SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, PowerShell scripting, and SPFx – 5+ years.
Microsoft Copilot Studio – 1+ year (highly desired).
Custom development using .NET, JavaScript, and C# – 5+ years.
DevOps in Power Platform/D365 environments – 2+ years.
Customization and implementation of Forms, Views, Plug‑Ins, Workflows, and BPFs in D365 – 3+ years (highly desired).
Data integrations and migrations using Azure Synapse/Azure Data Factory – 3+ years.
Total IT experience – 8+ years.
Certifications
PowerApps Professional or PowerApps Developer.
