As a Junior Plumbing Designer at 120 Degreez, you will play an integral role in supporting our team of experienced engineers in the design and coordination of plumbing systems for various building projects. This position offers a hands‑on opportunity to develop your technical skills, gain exposure to the design process, and work alongside senior engineers in a collaborative and supportive environment. Responsibilities

Assist in the design and drafting of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, and specialty systems under the supervision of senior engineers. Prepare plans, details, and diagrams for plumbing layouts using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform basic hydraulic calculations, fixture counts, and equipment sizing with guidance from senior engineers. Support the preparation of plans, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with applicable plumbing codes and client requirements. Collaborate with project teams to ensure plumbing system coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Conduct field surveys and site visits to document existing conditions and assist with construction administration tasks as needed. Assist in the review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs to confirm alignment with design intent and project standards. Stay informed about California Plumbing Code updates, Title 24, and best practices for water conservation and sustainability. Support continuous improvement of internal design standards, drafting templates, and quality control processes. Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineers or management. Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in plumbing or MEP design (internship or professional experience preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required; familiarity with plumbing calculation tools is a plus. Basic understanding of plumbing systems design, including domestic water, sanitary, and storm drainage systems. Knowledge of California Plumbing Code, related standards, and construction documentation practices. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
