Job Description Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Manufacturing 2nd shift Production Supervisor/Direct Hire Position
Location:
Delanco, NJ
Shift:
3:30pm - 2:00am; Monday - Thursday
Full-time/Permanent Position
Primary Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hourly production employees. This includes building strong, interactive teams, fostering employee engagement, mentoring through listening, coaching and performance reviews, training and onboarding and reducing employee turnover to achieve plant objectives.
Manage daily production and schedule requirements for assigned departments and ensure a consistent flow of work through the department.
Ensure safe working conditions and/or habits of area employees, through identification and correction of any safety concerns/issues, safety training, conducting safety audits of the area, and conducting accident investigations for all accidents in area of responsibility.
Ensure assigned department achieves quality goals to meet the company's Brand Promise. Review quality standards and processes regularly and make recommendations on improvements.
Support plant leadership with recommendations of improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, quality standards, efficiencies, and safety/working conditions.
Partner with plant Maintenance department to ensure production areas are functioning at a high level and minimize downtime.
Work with plant support operations, such as Materials, Scheduling and Logistics, to ensure a balanced schedule and consistent flow of material into assigned production area.
Determine appropriate staffing needs of the department, manage hourly attendance policy, and ensure accuracy of timekeeping and attendance system.
Make recommendations and support plant management in hiring, disciplinary, and termination decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution, and conduct employee investigations, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or considerable manufacturing experience (minimum five years)
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving results and developing subordinates
Excellent problem-analysis and critical thinking abilities
Experience working within teams and a demonstrated commitment to Customer Service
Outstanding reliability, with strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to drive improvements within the organization and coach/develop others to achieve goals
Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting, and meeting deadlines
Outstanding communication, collaboration and conflict management skills
